The original dove was created by Norwegian graphic designer Lene Jacobsen. As many of the IFLAC members are poets and writers for peace, the dove has a quill pen in its beak rather than the traditional olive branch. In 2014, the logo was refreshed by Brazilian graphic designer Mota Júnior and given new colors and a contemporary look and feel.
