IFLAC is a voluntary Association that strives for peace by building bridges of understanding and peace through culture, literature and communication. IFLAC is founded and directed by Egyptian-born Israeli writer Ada Aharoni (Ph.D), since 1999.

I found The Pomegranate of Reconciliation and Honor to be incredibly moving and thought-provoking. I too believe that everyone’s story must be heard in order to foster greater understanding and compassion between groups, this becomes especially important for groups in conflict where at times compassion is lost in the tension. The story of the Jewish exodus from Muslim countries needs to be told, as many seem keen on forgetting it, yet it was a very important event for thousands of Jews who were forced out of their homes and it marked the total destruction of the age old Jewish communities that had thrived across the Middle East.
