    The Pathway Finally Opened

“When I went beyond myself, the pathway finally opened.” UNESCO quotes this line from Mahsati Ganjavi’s poem (12th century). “Isn’t this the essence of dialogue for peace?” they ask. A just question on this May 8. 70 years ago today, peace came to Europe.

    The Pathway Finally Opened

    by Mahsati Ganjavi

English version by David and Sabrineh Fideler

When my heart came to rule
    in the world of love,
    it was freed
    from both belief
    and from disbelief.

    On this journey,
    I found the problem
    to be myself.

    When I went beyond myself,
    the pathway finally opened.
