Introducing Kate Dong, New IFLAC Intern

    Text: Solveig Hansen

Every spring semester for the last couple of years, Peace and Conflict Studies students at the University of Haifa have interned with IFLAC. This year, we are happy to have Kate (Han Ling) Dong with us. She is excited, too. “I am looking forward to enhance my knowledge on peacekeeping and conflict resolution,” she says. In addition to the internship, Kate has accepted to be the IFLAC Peace Ambassador in Hong Kong.

Kate was born and raised in Hong Kong in 1994. Her family originates from Changsha, Hunan Province in China, where she feels deeply connected to. As a junior at Colby College in Maine, USA, she is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Government. She is currently studying in the Honors Program in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Haifa.

Kate looks forward to be part of the IFLAC community as Professor Ada Aharoni’s Intern as well as the IFLAC Peace Ambassador in Hong Kong, even when she goes back to Maine to complete her studies and to Hong Kong. She is very excited about promoting peace and understanding in the world through IFLAC.

    Welcome, Kate!
